Match report Parks opened with Chetan & Bhavik, with both playing well, Park’s were looking at a decent score. However, a needless runout in the 14th over saw Park’s thereafter loose regular wickets, and in doing so only managed to put on a much below average total of 138 in the allotted 45 overs. A collectively below par batting performance, lacking situational understanding, vision and urgency. This meant Park’s only picked up 2 batting points, requiring 8 more points to be promoted.

Park’s bowlers understanding the importance of putting in a performance today, bowled very well, and managed to restrict Brentwood to 110 for 9 off the allotted 40 overs. The stand out bowler being Keerti who bowled 14 straight overs for 20 runs, and on the way picked up 4 wickets. Keerti was well supported today by Chetan (8-3-24-1) and Nimanka (5-1-23-2). It's fair to say the fielding, unlike the entire season was poor, and we ponder what if catches had been taken!

Unfortunately, this only gave Park’s 4 bowling points, meaning Park’s fell short by 4 points. A disappointing end to a very good season for the 4’s. A season where there were many worthwhile individual performances, great team spirit & determination. A season which gives all hope for next year, a year in which we will collectively come back stronger, with renewed vigour, and hopefully not falter at the last hurdle.
