South Woodford v Oakfield Parkonians Cricket Club 4th XI on Sat 18 May 2019 at 12.30
Oakfield Parkonians Cricket Club Won By 10 wickets

Match report Looking to build on last weeks win, Parks travelled to local rivals Southwoodford. Like last week Parks Captain lost the toss but this time the opposition asked Parks to bowl first.

Parks opened the innings with Nav Kalley and Jigar Desia. After a initial onslaught from Southwoodford’s opener batsman, Parks managed to get a breakthrough, and from thereon Parks picked up wickets at regular intervals. The pick of today’s bowlers were Jigar Desia (10-2-24-4) and Manicks Shanker who came on as first change, bowled with superb accuracy and by doing so claimed 4 wickets for only 5 runs (6–5-5-4). The Southwoodford inning came to a close in the 27th over, setting Parks a total of 75 to overhaul.

In reply, Parks made light work of the set target. Openers Bhavik Trivedi 26 N.O and Chetan Patel 36 N.O, overhauling the target in the 13th over.

So with another win under their belt, Parks sit 2nd in the league, and move forward to play Loughton next Saturday with confidence and their feet firmly grounded.
