Match report 3rd XI won by 9 wickets

Parks loss the toss and were put out into the field. K. Parhar opened the bowling attack, but Wanstead looked to get off to a flying start with 16 runs coming from the first over, from attacking batsman, N. Arnold. This looked to be a long innings for Parks to face, but with persistent and accurate bowling, K. Parhar got revenge on his man as he played a shot, straight down the throat of T.Diocee at mid on. Parks looked to be back on top with K.Parhar (6-1-26-2) and T.Raja’s (6-3-10-1) opening spells. The economical bowling continued with an outstanding bowling performance from G. Christian (6-1-7-3), who ripped through the middle order and really piled on the pressure. The spinners really took charge with Z. Raja and Q. Hafeez taking 2 wickets each to finishing the Wanstead innings with 88 runs to chase.

Openers S. Maniyath (33 stumped) and A. Bouquet (32 Not Out), really controlled the remainder of the game putting on a solid partnership of 62 runs before the fall of the first wicket. Glorious drives down the ground from Sreeroop backed up by A. Bouquet finding the gaps around the ground only left 27 runs to chase with J.Vijayanathan (12 Not Out) to round off the game. Parks have been going from strength to strength each week and cricket all round has been incredibly exciting to watch. Hornchurch at home next week should prove to be the toughest game yet.
