Ilford v Oakfield Parkonians Cricket Club 2nd XI on Sat 13 Jul 2019 at 12.30
Oakfield Parkonians Cricket Club Lost by 164 runs

Match report Parks started the second half of the season away to Ilford.

Ilford won the toss and elected to bat first on a beautiful batting track. Ilford dominated the game from ball one, they put away some really poor bowling and a mixture of poor fielding meant Ilford would get a mammoth total of 327 runs off their 45 overs.

This was a total that Parks were confident in chasing, last week we had scored over 330 runs. None of the Parks batsmen took the responsibility to go big and Parks didn't get close to the target. Getting bowled out for 163 off just 29 overs and not bat the whole innings was disappointing to see. Only two notable contributions in the team and that was Sifth Ali (45) and Sachin Vara (33) who tried to get Parks close to the target. But the story remains the same for the second team with none of the batsmen finding some consistent form and putting a win of games together. However Parks cannot dwell on this defeat for too long as we have Brentwood,Hornchurch and Wanstead in the upcoming fixtures and now every point will be crucial to keep Parks in the premiership.
