Match report Parks went into this game with a bit of confidence as they were facing an Upminster side that had not won a game all season. Parks won the toss and decided to bat first and got off to the best start after being 50-0 off 10 overs. However, after losing opener Shane and Sachin through injury it mean Paran and Neil had a rebuilding job to do. With a lot of rain throughout the week it meant the wicket was slow and the ball kept very low at times. When Paresh departed for 12 Parks were 160-4 off just 36 overs and were confident of a big score. Sachin Vara was the pick of the batsmen with a well earned 52 and a late cameo from Jai Patel (20) meant Parks stumbled to a more than reasonable 187. It was a score Parks were a little disappointed with, but we were confident in defending it.

Upminster fought well within the first few overs but as soon as Parks got 1 wicket, Upminster lost wickets on regular intervals. The pick of the bowlers being Dilan Patel (8-0-35-5) meant Parks eased to a win with a margin of 78 runs. The victory meant Parks stayed with the league toppers Brentwood but still needed to continue to fight and get a good result against a good Chelmsford side next week
