Match report Parks came into the game this week knowing that they didn't want anything less than 25 points, something they were confident in as Woodford Wells haven't won a game all season. On what looked like a very good batting track skipper Paran lost the toss and Woodford Wells elected to bowl first.

The innings didn't start off well as Parks found themselves 30 for 3 off just 11 overs. However a partnership off 38 between Paran (23) and James Foley (35) took parks to 68 for 4 off 20 overs. Apart from those two there weren't many other highlights of the batting innings apart from a cameo from Tarun (19) which took Parks to a well below par score off 129. This innings had pretty much summed up the batting performance this season as Parks are yet to score over 200 in the league. A mixture of poor batting shots and some loose shots meant Parks went into tea a little deflated after the effort with the bat.

A lot was said to jeer up the Parks bowlers and there was still a little bit of belief with the team as they knew that Woodford Wells were looking to get their first win on the board. The innings got off to the to the worst start with Woodford Wells being 31-1 off 3 overs. However, some quick wickets Woodford Wells quickly found themselves on 71-5. Matthew Holland with figures off 4-2-11-2, he bowled a good consistent line and nipped the ball away very late. He was well supported by Dilan Patel (6.2-0.32-4) and Tarun (9-0-31-3). When Woodford Wells were 89-9 the win looked inevitable for Parks. But there was an 10th wicket partnership of 33 which took them within 8 runs of winning. 3 balls into Dilans 6th over he gets the final wicket bowled. Parks had done something that they didn't think was capable and defended 130 runs. The whole team showed brilliant character and fight to be able to defend such a low total. The team are looking to build on this victory and get another win next week at home to Wanstead.
