Oakfield Parkonians Cricket Club Won by 24 runs

Match report We hosted South Woodford on a cloudy day on another win toss and bowl first day. Of course Captain Dave Rai lost the toss and Parks were asked to bat. The wicket looked decent and played decent all day as well, so maybe not a bad toss to lose and it proved so.

Parks batted well and did a great job in mounting 275-5. A good all round batting display from all with plenty chipping in good with good contributions from all in the top 6 to help mount the score. Eshun Kalleys scored a fluent 51 of 38 balls. However, the star of the show was overseas pro Ravi Teja with a superb 81 not out, which was a perfectly paced innings to see us to a good score.

Parks entered the field to bowl confident of victory and so it proved as good bowling saw them 111-6. Again all chipped in with decent economy and wickets. However, the pick of the bowlers was Baldeep Mann with an economical 8-37-2 generating decent pace with steep bounce to trouble there batsman. Parks lets standards slip to allow them to mount 251 but they were never in the hunt and a comfortable win was recorded.

So Parks have now won 3 out of last 4 and now are one win of second. So a run is being mounted and we hope to carry that forward next week away to wickford.
