Match report The First match in the Brian Taylor Trophy Competition took a young U12 to Ilford for their 25 over game.
Ilford won the Toss and elected to bat. Our bowlers were all tight bowling good line and length. Captain Daniel Imran (4–0-19-2) opened the bowling and along with partnered Zubair Raja (4-0-15-4) was the back bone of the bowling attack. All our bowlers played well Ashwin Sureshan (3-0-12-0) and Mannan Arora (3-0-17-1), Ali Khan (3-0-21-1) Samay Battachartee (3-0-14-0) were the heart of the attack. Some fantastic fielding including a superb run out by young Aryan Desia and lightning reactions in the Slips by Krishan helped to limit Ilford to 138-8 off 25 overs.
In response our Batsmen had a stunning start with Mannan retiring on 33no and Zubair adding 26 before being bowled. Daniel who has been inform playing for the higher U13 age group added 32No and the game was brought to a close by Vulluvan Indrakumar (2) and Ali Khan (11no).
Parks won the match by 8 wickets in 23 overs, so a Great result and now looking forward to Next Weeks home match v Newham.
