Match report Parks batted first against Ilford looking to pick up as many points as possible to move into a safe mid table position. It started poorly with 3 wickets falling cheaply, but Teerath Diocee picked up 44 and with regular contributions through the order, Parks managed to compile a competitive 231 all out being bowled out just a few balls short of the 50 overs.

Ilford had bowled their overs so slowly that the time and the light were very much against them with the bat. Sanjaya Fernando bowled well yet again picking up 4/55, and Parks had the opposition 131/6 at the close, with a draw the inevitable result. Perhaps given more time, Parks could have forced a victory here, but it was not to be.

A good result given the holiday availability at the moment, and 10 important points which mean Parks now sit 27 points above the bottom two with two games to play. Nothing is guaranteed yet, but the team are confident we can finish in a comfortable position in two weeks time. Next up is Southend at home, who are the current table toppers.
