Match report Parks came into the match with a much changed team from the week before. Stand-in skipper J Patel lost the toss and the reds were put into bat on what looked a good wicket.

Unfortunately after a reasonably steady start with 23 for no loss off 7 overs, the wickets tumbled in quick succession with Parks finding themselves 55-5 off 20 overs. Faisal Bhatti (64) was playing calmly however lacked support at the other end as poor shots led to the demise of many of the batsman. Sifth Ali (55*) came to the crease and both he and Faisal steadied the ship putting 50 on in the next 15 overs taking Parks to 105-5. That gave Parks a good base to attack the final 15 and after Faisal departed, bowled with a good yorker after a superb innings, J Patel (24) and Ali put on another 50 in the next 8 overs running hard and putting away the bad balls. Patel was run out backing up, but T Bhatia (12*) came in and carried on as he and Ali took Parks to respectable total of 180 from the 50 overs. Parks scored 100 runs in the final 20 overs, but it could have been a lot more if more application was shown early on.

Momentum was in our favour, but Buckhurst got off to a good start. No real chances in the first 10 overs and Buckhurst were cruising at 48-0 off 10. F Bhatti (12-1-41-4) came on took 2 early wickets in his second over taking the game back in favour. T Bhatia (4-0-25-0) came on and unfortunately had a regulation catch dropped at slip which would have changed the game as it was Lyndsey whilst still in his 30s. He went on to score a destructive 50+. D Patel (6-0-40-1) came on and bowled the dangerous Lyndsey with a jaffer however Parks then really let the game slip with 3 further regulation drop catches at point, mid off and mid wicket. Very disappointing as the player dropped twice Krish Maru went on to score 52* to take the game home for Buckhurst. Special mention goes to Rohitraj Ananeraj (6-1-15-0) who played his first competitive league game for the 2s and bowled very well to keep one end tight whilst the experienced Bhatti and Ahmed searched for wickets at the other end. However, catches win matches and that's what let the team down.

An up and down game, whereby effort couldn't be faulted as Parks clawed back into the game many times. Execution of basics will see the side home next week in an important match against Billericay.
