Match report Oakfield Parkionians won the toss and chose to bat in their last pre-season friendly against Stanford le Hope.
On a ground where 600 runs had been scored last week Parks certainly didn’t disappoint posting 327-1 in 40 overs. Neil Brathwaite 153 retired not out and Vikram Handa 103 not out stole the show, supplying great entertainment as the ball was smashed all over the park. Indepreet Bhatia also chipped in with a solid 42 not out as the parks batting line up managed to turn good starts into big scores from previous weeks.
After tea Parks started strongly taking 6 wickets for a mere 71 runs, but allowed Stanford le Hope to climb to 194 all out. Matt Holland was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with sublime figures 5-3-3-3. However, Parks will have to improve in the field when the league starts next week.
