Match report On a green top, with overnight rain, Parks Captain won the toss for the 4th consecutive week and put Gidea Park & Romford into bat.

The decision to bowl first was quickly vindicated, with Parks taking early wickets. Opening bowlers Manicks Shankar & Chetan Patel bowled with intent and discipline, with Shankar ending with figures of 8-3-12-3, and Chetan 7-0-19-4. The change bowlers carried on the good start, with Anuj Tewari getting 2 crucial wickets for 22 runs of 8 overs. Senior pro Shahid Khan chipping in with 1 wicket for 5 runs of 2 overs. The bowling was well backed up in the field, especially behind the wicket, with keeper Inderjit Singh taking 4 catches, and conceding no byes. Overall it was a very good bowling and fielding performance. Gidea Park were ultimately bowled out for 80 in 32 overs.

In response Parks were able to overhaul the set target in the 20th over, for the loss of 5 wickets.

This is the 2nd consecutive match in which Parks have bowled the opposition out below 100, so the momentum is set for the weeks ahead. However, Parks batting needs to be more clinical, losing 5 wickets chasing 80 runs is a concern, which the team collectively need to address going forward.
