Match report Another hot day at Hainault Recreation Ground. Parks skipper S.Patel won the toss and chose to bat first.

After losing one of the openers early, Tariq Jameel followed up his superb knock last week with another well compiled 43, despite batting with a runner due to a calf strain at the start of his innings. Tariq was supported by a maiden fifty from Sachin Fing (55) and 33 from Jigar Desai. The innings then collapsed as M Foulser just missed a hat-trick but took 4 wickets in the 35th and final over. Parks finished on 197 for 8.

Matthews started their reply after tea with opener Locke scoring 43, but the skipper RM Brown took the game away from Parks with a solid and aggressive knock of 110 not out. The total was chased down in 31.4 overs.

As always - room for improvement, but highlights were the two wickets taken by Rashmin Patel, and the exceptionally well controlled spin bowling of Adnan Rifan - another youngster to watch for the future. Young Karan Bansel again bowled beautifully opening the bowling with no luck, conceding only 26 from his 7 over spell.
