Match report Parks entered this game with confidence, having won the last 3 weeks matches. It was a sweltering day with no breeze at Hadleigh and Thundersley, so it was no surprise that Parks opted to bat on winning the toss.

Praise must be given to the Hadliegh bowlers, who plugged away int he heat commendably. Jaydeep Dhuria was the star at the top, grinding out 51 to create a platform for the lower order. At 180/7 however, with only Haaris Shah (46) really contributing, it was looking like an under par total. Pranav Khetia, the 17 year old playing his first match after exams, entered at number 9 and immediately changed the whole complexion of the game. In what was a scintillating and telling contribution, he scored 37 runs off a single over, with a no ball meaning he faced 7 deliveries. He brought up his 50 off just 18 balls, having the time to defend several of these.

Parks finished on 252/9 off their 45 overs, with Pranav finishing not out on 63. Surely it would be enough to see the team home.

The 2nd innings started with a flurry of runs however, and it looked like the winning streak could be in danger. Senior player Nav Kalley found the going tough carrying a niggle and also stopping a powerful drive from Hadleigh's opener awkwardly on his bowling hand. Ibrahim Iqbal produced a good spell at the other end to collect 3/46 however, and with good spells from the spinners Pranav (2/27) and Om Thakeria (2/35), Parks managed to grind out a well earned and hard fought victory by 77 runs.
