Match report Match abandoned due to rain.
On a day that started with a clear blue sky and warm sunshine Oakfield Parkonians welcomed South Loughton for a friendly fixture. After winning the toss Park's chose to bat first in batsmen friendly conditions. Unfortunately it was a wobbly start with 2 quick wickets falling, Skipper Usman Rafiq joined Aman Ali at the crease, the duo combined to build a large partnership. Aman (117) settled in to his rhythm and hit some lusty boundaries to make a well deserved century, Usman played the supporting role finishing on 35. Their partnership along with a few cameos from the tail enabled Park's to post a competitive 229 all out.

After tea the weather took a turn for the worse as dark clouds began to appear. Matt Holland and Suleman Shaheen started proceedings and both bowled well to the opposition. The pressure they created caused a horrible mix up between the batsmen resulting in a run out, Talha (colt) making his senior debut was looking good at the beginning of his spell until the heavens opened up and heavy rain forced the game to be abandoned. A shame as the match was evenly poised after 10 overs with South Loughton at 40 for 1.
