Match report A comfortable start for Parks, as the 2s cruise to a comfortable victory over Buckhurst Hill 2s.

A glorious day and the ground looked good, Parks won the toss and elected to bat. Despite the loss of an early wicket Parks started relatively well. Dhruv Patel (29) looked good but played one shot too many. Lots of starts in the middle order, with skipper Harry Markatis (39) looking good, but no one kicked on. Some decent time in the middle from the batters, but not finishing their allocated overs was a poor batting display despite a valiant innings from Sifth Ali (29). Runs on the board, but Parks weren't overly happy with the display.

The bowling however looked sharp and Sifth Ali and Daud Arghandawi ran through the top order with Buckhurst at one point, 17-7 and looking in real trouble. A valiant counterattack from the lower order got Buckhurst up above the 50 mark, but Matt Holland and Ibrahim Iqbal chipped in with a few wickets a piece.

A decent start to the season, but more patience will be required in the middle against league opposition.
