Match report After being knocked out of the cup Parks had a home friendly v Division 3 Stanford le Hope. While we were expecting to be stronger, the gulf between the two teams was bigger than it should be and provided an uneven contest against a team who came with only 10 men!!

Toss won and Parks bat. 45 over game and Parks amass a mighty 345 without even breaking sweat. Both openers bagged tons and then duly retired to give others a hit. Faisal Bhatti was first to the ton as he reached 3 figures with relative ease. Even more pleasing was to see young 14 year old Ryan Karuna stroke an elegant ton to gain some much needed form. No matter what the opposition is you still need to get the runs and these 2 duly did this to fill their boots. A cameo of 88 by Harriss Khan was the other highlight.

Parks then took field to finish the job off. This they did with ease to bundle Stanford le hope out for a paltry score with frankly not much effort and little breaking of sweat. Aman Ali picked up 4 wickets in another good day for young guns of Oakfield Parkonians.

Parks preparation was shambolic in this match and this has occurred 2 games in a row. With the league starting next week, with a big derby home match against Hainault and Clayhall, this is an area that must be addressed as priority, watches must be bought by many. The real tests now start as pre-season is finished and the matches that matter start. Next week will surely provide a much different challenge.
