Match report Captain Foley won the toss and decided to bat on a reasonable looking pitch despite the wet weather from earlier in the week.

Young Teerath Diocee and Ryan Karuna opened the batting playing their respective first & second games for the 2XI. The day belonged to 13 year old Ryan who amassed a fantastic 116 not out, his first adult cricket 100, before he was asked to retire out giving other batsmen a knock before the first league game of the season. It was a beautifully composed inning, offering only one chance, and had some fantastically innovative hitting at the end of his innings showing why he is on a strong development path after a positive winter training and playing indoor cricket.

Parks put the Fives bowling all around the ground throughout the innings. Other notable contributions were from Usman who battled for 37 and Haaris Shah who hot a destructive 50 not out which included 3 sixes in 3 balls. Parks ended their innings on 280.

After a glorious tea, Parks went out to bowl with Jonathan, Baldeep & Sarankan opening up with seam bowling. The pitch offered little for the seamers although they each picked up 1 wicket a piece.
The pick of the bowlers were Haaris who bowled very tight lines and Dilan who picked up 2 wickets, unlucky not to pick up more.

Fives ended up on 170 for 6 and could not compete with the Parks bowling. A good win for Parks before we face the same oppo in the league next week.
