Match report The cloudy Wednesday weather didn't rain off the game between Oakfield Parkonians & Wanstead Tigers, after all, despite being expected. However this match was reduced to 15 overs to ensure it was completed.
OPCC won the toss & elected to bat. Wanstead Tigers started out on a slow pace & that set the momentum for them throughout the game. With Oakfield's tight bowling, the opposition struggled to score. The first wicket fell during the fifth over bowled by Haseeb Irshad. The second batsmen was run out during the seventh over with a precise throw straight to the wicket by Parks' Ayman Rifan. The eighth over saw a double wicket maiden by Praven Sureshan. Wanstead struggled as Parks' Arya Karthikeyan took out further batsmen during the thirteenth & fourteenth overs. The final over saw the final wicket bowled out by Ibad Usman, totalling oppositions score to 44/7 in 15 overs.
The second innings commenced with Praven Sureshan opening the bat with Haseeb Irshad, who batted a boundary before being bowled out in the fourth over. The next batsmen was bowled during the ninth over. Praven Sureshan retired leaving Ibad Usman & Aryan Desai to complete the score. Another boundary by Ibad Usman & a further few runs, chased up the score making Parks the winners of the day with four overs & eight wickets remaining.
