Oakfield Parkonians Cricket Club Lost By 41 runs

Match report Having won the toss the skipper had a difficult decision to make having only 10 players but conditions favouring the bowlers. Choosing to bowl first Parks had a very good first 23 overs, restricting Upminster to below 90, with young buck Matthew Holland picking up a wicket and Ibrahim Iqbal having picking up a couple, with Upminster's P.Stratton having a decent knock of 38. The 2nd half of the innings was a very bad fielding half for Parks as there was a lot of misfields and drop catches. Indi Bhatia bowling well picked up 3 good wickets. The final 10-15 overs was purely dominated by Upminster's A.Khan who found the boundary with ease hitting a very quick 60, with also being dropped 4 times in the field. Finishing with a total of 215.

New comer M.Sharma opened the batting with Y.Karuna. M.Sharma batting aggressively but getting cleaned up on 21. Parks started lose wickets on regular intervals until Indi Bhatia but up a stand and ended the game 44 NO, with Jonathan Balakumar helping with a well played 34. Mazham Ali contributing with 25 runs, but Parks just could not seem to have a good day of cricket.
