Match report On an overcast and windy Spring Bank Holiday afternoon Shenfield were the visitors to Oakfield. Oakfield won the toss and put Shenfield into bat; what followed was a one man batting display with a huge innings of 75 from the opening batsman. After 25 overs Shenfield had amassed 132 runs for the loss of 4 wickets with the pick of the bowlers Om Thakeria (5-0-2-12) and Adnan Rifan (2-0-1-11) taking the wickets.
In response Oakfield had lost 2 wickets for 24 runs by the end of the 6th over. Amanjit Singh (19) and Reuben Chandy (10) briefly took the fight to the visitors but with wickets falling there seemed little hope for Oakfield that was until Karandeep Bansel (20 no) came to the crease; with 3 overs to go and requiring 29 runs the tail end went for it but unfortunately fell just short with Shenfield running out winners by 2 runs.
