Match report Oakfield Parkonians, fresh from an excellent victory against South Woodford, were in a confident mood in their second match of the tournament. This confidence was clearly carried forward in Upminster's initial overs. Some tight bowling and regular wickets had Upminster in trouble early on. However, as the bowling tired, the batsmen saw opportunities to attack. Wright and Lamont had an excellent partnership which was full of attacking cricket shots. Upminster finished their twenty overs on 145-6, far more than the early signs indicated they would get. Pick of the bowlers for Oakfield were the Ali brothers, with Aman picking up a wicket for twenty runs in his four overs and Sifth bowling very tightly to finish with 4-1-13-1.

In response, Oakfield never looked in control. Despite an attacking start from Sahil Handa, who hit the first three balls of the innings for four, wickets fell regularly and partnerships failed to develop. Oakfield fell well short of the target, stumbling to 99-9 from their twenty overs.
