Oakfield Parkonians Cricket Club Won By 22 runs

Match report This was the first friendly game for U13 and with most of the players playing U15 match OPCC played with 8 players.

OPCC won the toss and elected to bat first. Opening pair Thanuson and Rohit started well and kept the momentum going. They both retired at individual score of 25 runs and a partnership of 76 between them within first 10 overs. Bhavdeep kept the score board ticking with his unbeaten 24 runs. Only wicket OPCC lost was of Luxman who ran a suicidal run on the last ball of innings. OPCC finished their innings at 142 for 1 wicket in 20 overs.

Bancroft started their innings well and their top order batsman quickly accumulated 80 runs in just under 10 overs. At this point OPCC introduced their main bowlers and Bancroft run rate plummeted and they started to lose wickets. Bancroft needed 38 runs of last 2 overs which was very tough for them to achieve. OPCC most successful bowler was Jazim he took 2 wickets in 3 overs by giving just 10 runs. OPCC won the game comfortably by 22 runs.

A good fight shown by most of the players playing first game of the season.
