Match report Oakfield batted first and, after a steady start, Dan Shalom started to show his class, piercing the supposedly-well-defended off side with his trademark drives. Shahid Khan played a supporting role and these two put on 76 for the first wicket. Dan went on to complete a maiden century, retiring with 101. Pranav Khetia then hit a rapid 61, his first 50 for the Club. His innings consisted of only 15 scoring shots and included 12 fours and 2 sixes. This took the Parks to 250 all out.
In reply, Nimanka de Silva and Bryn Evans kept a very tight lid on Leigh's scoring, both picking up a wicket. They were backed up by some excellent fielding. Then N.Neqrun and Liam Bell put on a reasonable partnership for the visitors, before Pranav bowled Negrum for 43. Thereafter wickets fell regularly and Leigh-on-Sea were all out for 116, Oakfield winning by 134 runs. The two top bowlers were Maran Maryathas with 3 for 15 from 8 overs and Manicks Shankar with 3 for 12 from 5 overs.
