Match report Patel won the toss and elected to bat at Old Brentwoods, but got off to a bad start with a wicket falling in the first over it fell to foley to steady the ship.
The Wickets continued to Tumble until Sarankan (73) and Sifth Ali (54) come together for a solid partnership of over 125. They both played some wonderful shots and the running between the wickets was excellent. Recovering from being 70-6 Parks posted a competitive score of 241-8.
The Brentwood opening batsman attacked with a quick 80 partnership coming off the first 10 overs. It was impressive the way the Team stuck together through the middle overs and actually bowls quite well towards the end. The opposition needed 20 runs over the last 50 overs but we took them right down to the wire and they needed one from the last over and they did it after 3 balls. Parks tasted the feet for the first time this season but they will bounce back next week and learn from their mistakes. Some of the fielding was simply not good enough and this will be something that we are going to work on at training and before the next game.
