Match report Parks make easy work of Epping.

It was a day to remember for several reasons. Two youngsters were given an opportunity to play in the 1st eleven and the batting order was changed to give lower order a chance to bat. Parks lost the toss and were asked to bat first on a difficult wicket. They were soon in trouble with score only on 42 for 4. Usman Rafiq, who had been called up to ones after a lengthy lay off, silenced his critics with a patient and gritty innings. He held the innings together as the skipper walked in at number 7 and destroyed the decent looking bowling attack. Azam registered his second ton of the year while usman finished on 94. Parks finished on 302 in 52 overs.

Epping in reply soon found themselves in trouble as Mughal kept swinging the ball and Ali bowled with accuracy. The youngster bowled well for his spell capturing one wicket. Mughal kept toying with the batsmen and skipper took him off allowing others to bowl. He finished on 7-1-36-5

Ahmad switched his keeping gear with Mughal and asked to bowl. He was thrown the bowl and from the very first bowl he looked in complete control. He threw one in the air enticing the batsman to drive, batsman missed it only for Mughal to take the bails off in a flash giving Ahmad his maiden wicket. Arslan bowled with zest and grabbed two wickets. Parks bowled them out for 80.

Celebrations began with captains speech followed by champagne. Parks are officially promoted to division 2.
