Match report With key players called up to a U13's game a nine man U11's side took a full strength Frenford side to the penultimate ball of a low scoring game before losing out in a nail biting finish.
Frenford won the toss and put OPCC in to bat; after a slow start the run rate picked up with Jaydeep Dhuria (27*) the stand out batsman, only two other batsmen reached double figures, Amanjit Singh (10*) and Daniel Imran (10*). OPCC finished on 96 for 4 off their 20 overs which seemed about twenty runs short; they set about defending this score with determination using all 9 bowlers. With some tight bowling Frenford were restricted to 16 runs off the first 6 over and were looking good when Samuel Varnes (3-1-4-2-) took 2 wickets with his first two balls putting pressure on the Frenford batsmen. Although OPCC made a very good fight of it Frenford eventually reached their target with a ball to spare in a good natured game.
