Oakfield Parkonians Cricket Club Won by 135 runs

Match report Oakfield lost the toss and were inserted on a damp but drying pitch, Old Southendians having plenty of bowlers. Tariq Jameel and Bal Diocee gave Parks a good start on a pitch where scoring wasn't easy. Then Waqar Yusaf and Inderjit Singh put on a nearly 100 together in a partnership which started slowly, but increased in pace as the innings drew to a close. This enabled Oakfield to register their highest score of the season, 220 for 5.
In reply OSS began brightly and reached 40-odd without loss, before Nick Thorpe turned one through the gate of S. Miller. Thereafter, wickets came quickly and the Old boys were bowled out for 85, with Nick Thorpe taking 6 for 21.
