Match report Outplayed by a brilliant Aussie.

Oakfield played with tremendous spirit after winning the toss and recovering from Old Southendians being 183-3 to bowling them out for 219. A spirited bowling attack was faulted by an astounding performance by their Aussie overseas Michael Hill, who scored 109 from 103 balls in a dominant display. Jibran Azam (14-3-57-3) and Shubhang Mehta (9.5-1-47-4) clawed the score back and the seamers chipped in with a a wicket a piece and the game was on at 219 all out.

However OSCC were very strong at the start. Parks relatively young opening attack found themselves 44-3 and then two quick wickets of our experienced bats J Azam and J Foley meant it was an uphill struggle. 58-5 and it was a consolidation job therein. However Michael Hill was again relentless, 11-1-43-4, supported ably by the rest of the their attack.

Unfortunately, this was the third game the Parks batsmen failed to score runs and it something each player needs to work on. Loose shots and a reliance on the next guy in has been our failure. Each batsmen needs to start looking at their own performance.
