Match report Oakfield Parkonians Sunday A XI won away by 105 runs against Mayfield CC

This was an excellent win for Oakfield on Sunday A, thanks to a magnificent 152 from our young very talented Vikram Handa who hit the ball all around the park and his innings consist of 11 sixes and 10 fours. Having put into bat by the opposition on an underprepared wicket, OPs scored a massive 248 in 39.2 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Ravi Sondh for Mayfiled bowled well and took 2 wickets for 44 runs in his opening spell of 12 overs.

In reply Mayfield openers struggled to score runs against Anuj Tiwari's quick and accurate bowling lost their wickets at the early stage of their innings. R Sondh and T Sparey steadied the ship but Maran Mariyathas ended their good partnership of 64 runs in his first over by having R Sondh (32) well caught at long on. Maran was on a hat- trick as he removed T Sparey who played well for his 50 caught at point. Mayfield were in all sort of trouble as they lost wickets at regular interval. OPs needing the last wicket in the final over for the victory had the last man caught in the penultimate ball. Ops won the match by 105 runs. Anuj Tiwari 10-26-3, Maran Mariyaths 5-5-3. Both teams played the game in a good spirit
