Oakfield Parkonians Cricket Club Won BY 44 Runs

Match report On an overcast Sunday morning & on a green wicket which was a shade lighter than the adjourning square, captain Tarunpreet Bhatia surprised all by electing to bat first. Opening the innings Arun Kullar & Paran Kalley, really put the Newham new ball bowlers to the sword with Arun Kullar getting out for a well made 31 & Paran Kalley being retired not out for 23. The next batsman Tarunpreet Bhatia carried on with the opener’s brisk start by making a quick fire 31 not out. At this point it looked like the young parks will put a 150 plus score on the board but unfortunately this did not materialize. Old Parks finishing their innings on 127 for 5 of 20 overs. In response Newham were bowled out for 83, which included 39 extras. The pick of the bowlers today were Pragash & captain Tarunpreet Bhatia, who both bowled 3 overs each for 7 runs each and 3 wickets a piece. Morgan & Paran Kalley chipping in with a wicket each. The 2 remaining wickets were taken by Hassan who was Newham’s 12th man but as Old Parks were a player short played for us. Over all a good victory for the U15’s.
