Match report A strange game. Westcliff 2XI turned up to Oakfield to play the Parks 1XI. A mix up in fixtures, exactly the right sort of prep the 1XI needed for the start of the league season!!!....

That being said, we focused on the job at hand and that was to win a cricket game. Winning the toss, Parks elected to bat and amassed a huge score of 307 for 1 in 40 overs with two batsmen retiring on 100 not out. Superb hitting from new Aussie Shubhang Mehta and Jibran Azam ensured they got a good knock before the league season starts. Haris Khan also hit some monster sixes scoring a quick fire 64.

In response, the bowlers kept it tight restricting Westcliff for 173 with most bowlers getting a good few overs before the league next week.

Not the ideal prep, but we'll take the strong performances.
