Match report Old Parks decided to bat first on Sunday in a 40 over friendly against Hackney Marshes. James Foley and Harry Markatis opened up and got Parks of to a good solid start until Markatis was dismissed with a caught and bowled on 30 runs. Next to the crease was Stan Foley who put together a good father and son partnership. James went on to score a century; a very well constructed innings from the vice captain. He then retired with injury, allowing a few others to come to the crease to have a bash. Shahid Khan managed to score a quick 13 in the last couple of overs and Stan Foley finishing on 44. Parks finished the innings on 220.
After tea Parks we're given a new cherry to bowl with which they made great use of with Victor Yatheesh taking his first wicket in his first over. Wickets then followed with the pick of the bowlers youngster Aman Patel, ably supported by the fielders, taking a magnificent fiver for only 10 runs which included a double wicket maiden! Other youngsters Akhil Patel taking a wicket and Paresh Kalley picking up 2 wickets himself. Marshes were all out for 81 losing the match by 139 runs.
