Match report Old Parks U15's first Cox & Kings match played at home on a pleasant sunny Sunday morning. Captain Dhruv Patel, having won the toss chose to field first. Opening the bowling with Paran Kalley & Tarunpreet Bhatia, both bowlers were able to exploit the pitch conditions with some fine seem bowling. Tarunpreet took two early wickets to restrict the opposition to 10 for 2 of 5 overs. The bowlers to follow bowled well, with Arun Kullar taking 3 wickets of his allocated 4 overs. Dharmil Panday & Jeevan Chahal, both chipping in with a wicket a piece. Vice captain Paran Kalley finished his allocated 4 overs with 2 wickets. With this collective bowling effort the youngsters were able to restrict the opposition to 102 for 9 of the allocated 20 overs. In reply Old Parks opened with a new opening pair of Dilhan Gabhari & Inderjit Singh, with both players making a scoring contribution of 10 & 2 respectively. Next in Captain Dhruv Patel, who for the second match running was retired not out for 30. Vice Captain Paran Kalley followed his Captain with an exceedingly good knock of 31 retired not out. Batsmen Tarunpreet & Arun, remaining not out on 12 & 3 respectively. In the end Old Parks chased down the required target quite comfortably in 17 overs ending with 103 for 3.
