Match report In view of the forecast heavy rain, we were lucky to complete a game, one that was played in an excellent spirit. Epping won the toss and chose to bat. They lost an early wicket, but their 2nd wicket pairing of John Sanger and Charles Ash proved difficult to budge, putting on 100. However, once Usman Rafiq had Ash caught behind by substitute wicketkeeper Tarun Bhatia, wickets fell regularly. Epping were all out for 147 with the wickets being shared among the Old Parks bowlers. Top wicket taker was Nav Kalley with 3 for 35 from 16.4 overs.
In reply, Old Parks lost Usman early. Thereafter Sahil Handa and Tarun Bhatia saw the Parks home with nearly 14 overs to spare. They put on an unbeaten 134 for the 2nd wicket, Sahil scoring 78 not out and Tarun 54 not out. A comfortable nine-wicket victory that lifts the Parks out of the relegation zone.
