Match report With a damp start Ilford went in to bat and the opening pair made steady progress before retiring on 30. With some of our key U15s absent - we played using 3 U13s. Wickets fell as leg spinner Dharmil Pandya shone claiming 4 wickets including 2 bowled, a stumping and good catch from Sahil Handa (u13) left Ilford with 127 for 5 of 20 overs. Old Parks batting began with a slow but steady start with Paran Kalley (u13) and Kanishka Ghosh opening. They saw off the strong opening bowlers from Ilford as they bowled 6 maidens in the first 8 overs. As Paran's wicket fell after making 12 runs, Muaz Ansari (captain) came into bat and began to make some steady progress to top-score on 24 runs. With some contributions from the rest of the team we could only manage 68 for 8. A brave first match of the season for the u15s - with room for improvement but a positive team spirit already evolving.
