Match report Old Parks won the toss and elected to field first. The match started right on time and we opened the blowing with Nav Kalley and Ibrahim Iqbal who blowed a very tight line. Nav blowed continously from one end and finished with impressive figures of 12-1-32-4. Ibrahim blowed 6 good overs and took a wicket for 17 runs. Ibrahim was replaced by Taariq Bharuchi who swung the match with excellent figures of 5.5-0-10-5. West Essex were blowed out for 60 runs off 23 overs. In very difficult batting conditions, Karuna (16) and Shane Vamadevan (17) started very cautiously and put on a very good opening partnership of 42 runs before both were out in fairly quick succession. Dhruv Patel (13 not out)and Umar Arbar (2 not out) won the game within 21 overs. This was an excellent start to the first game of the season and in summary, Old Parks dominated the game from start to finish
