1. Girls Open Day on Friday 8h August: 6 to 8pm.
To remind everyone, we are holding an open day this Friday to formally launch our Girls Cricket section. It will start at 6pm and everyone is welcome as we have all this going on:-
a. Girls/ladies to join our Colts training sessions (taster sessions)
b. Girls play Rounders if they prefer
c. Free BBQ and other refreshments for all
d. Free glass of wine for ladies
e. Free raffle for women and girls signing our petition.
Anyone bringing more for the buffet or a small dish of your choice will be much appreciated!
2. Colts ‘IPL’ auction on Friday 8th August: 8pm onwards.
This is the same idea as last year, so it is important your son is present, maybe girls cricketers too! (Nav’s earlier email explained the follow-up Colts Day on Friday 15th Aug which is a great time for the youngsters.)
So come and enjoy! Especially, please support Amy and Ratan, the Girls’ Managers, so that we get the new Oakfield Girls sports club off to a great start. We hope for a sunny evening but we will go ahead come what may, indoors if necessary with food and fun . . . .
P.S. We changed the name of the Club to the Oakfield Parkonians precisely so that we could set up the Girls club, with Olympic Legacy funding!
