Natwest Cricket Force Day Monday 9th April

04 Apr 2012

Dear Friend and Old Park,

Last year’s NatWest CricketForce Day was a great success and everybody comments how much better the whole ground is looking.

It’s that time of year again - getting ready for the new season.  As last year, we will be making more improvements, getting things done and having some fun.  The Club will be open all day from 10.30 onwards, with a break for a free lunch and drinks.  Did I say a free lunch?  No such thing – there’s some work to be done too:

  • Putting up the nets and clearing / tidying the surrounding ground
  • Repairing the damaged wooden sightscreens and painting them
  • Finishing the new Electronic Scorebox: side panels / painting / clean our interior / putting in the new safe
  • Making another two ‘sleeper’ benches
  • Re-painting the fencing in front of main the main pavilion

I do hope you can join us.  Bring working clothes and, if you have paint brushes that will be great.

Given the hosepipe ban, we aren’t planting any more trees this year!

LET’S GET THE GROUND IN GOOD SHAPE.  PLEASE PASS THE WORD ON – BRING A FRIEND, RELATIVE, WHOLE FAMILY WELCOME!

Regards,

Chris
