Match report This was an amazing game for 2 distinct reasons - Abdul Usman getting his maiden 50 for the club and Karthegan Thavanesan getting 4 wickets with the first four balls of his 5th over. Old Parks batted first and posted 136 all out in 24.5 overs. This was thanks largerly to Abdul Usman, who scored 52 not out, including 8 fours and their were contributions from Paresh Kalley (21) and Sahil Handa (26). This looked like a competitive target but it could have been close. However, 1 over changed all that. In the 15th over, South Woodford were 53 for 5 and with some of their Essex stars still to bat. However, 5 balls later it was all over and South Woodford were all out for 54. Karthegan's 5th over of his spell read - 1st ball, LBW; 2nd ball, bowled; 3rd ball, bowled; 4th bowl, caught; 5th ball, run out. He finshed with amazing figures of 4.5-0-10-5. In the excitment, it was forgotten that Devak Rattan also bowled well (2-0-3-2) and Reece Sandhu claimed his first wicket for the club (4-1-12-1).

In summary, Old Parks won the game by 83 runs but what a day for Abdul and Karthegan.
