Oakfield Parkonians Cricket Club Won By 4 Wickets

Match report Oakfield won the toss & elected to bowl in Sunday’s friendly.
Some early tight overs, from Parks’ opening bowlers Nilay Tejura & Zain Arghandawi kept the batsman struggling to score. The first over saw opposition’s batsman score two boundaries, before Zain took a beautiful catch from Nilay’s delivery.
Zain then bowled a wicket maiden of the second over-the third over was Nilay’s maiden.
Parks’ young Azmain Sikder delivered the fifth over, bowling & then running out another batsman, after which Abdullah Hafeez continued with excellent bowling, keeping the runs to a minimum.
Relief came for South Woodford from the sixth over onwards when they were able to increase the runs aided with some extras from Parks, however, opposition faced another blow when debutant Jeevan Sehmby bowled out big hitter William.
Parks finished off with Ayaan Usman bowling an lbw & Navine Sureshan bowling yet another maiden.
South Woodford batted out the overs steadily & had managed a comfortable 105 at the close of 20 overs.

It was Oakfield’s turn to bat & South Woodford returned the favour by making it hard to score with able bowling & fielding, including an early wicket when Parks’ Abdullah Hafeez was bowled on the second ball.
Satwik Morti rose to the challenge & held the wicket before retiring not out, when Azmain came in & added to the score, taking the runs before being stumped by opposition.
Next in was Nilay who came away from the game not out with 11 runs, including his first ever boundary.
Ibad Usman batted almost effortlessly to raise much needed runs scoring 27, including five boundaries, before getting run out. Sheharyar Chaudhry & Navine finished the game to a win, both coming away not out.
OPCC Won with yet another tremendous Team Effort.
