Match report A very crucial toss was won by Oakfield’s stand-in captain, Amit Kalley, and he immediately inserted Hadleigh and Thundersley. The decision proved to be crucial as the Oakfield opening bowlers tore through the visitors’ batting line up to bowl them out for just 57 in 20.2 overs. Leading wicket taker, Nav Kalley, continued his fine form on his way to picking up five wickets (10-2-41-5). He was supported brilliantly by good pace and sharp movement at the other end from Abdul Usman, who bowled with guile and precision to finish with four wickets (7-1-12-4).

With very little for Oakfield’s batsmen to do, they managed to reach the total with the loss of three wickets and thus picked up twenty very important points as the climax to the season approaches. With confidence high, Oakfield will need to carry the dominating form of recent weeks into the final few games to ensure the goal of promotion is reached.
