Match report With the limited over period of the season underway Parks managed to make it 5 wins in a row at home to Walthamstow.

On an extremely hot day Harry Markatis lost the toss with Walthamstow electing to bat first. Sifth Ali got Parks off to flyer taking 2 wickets in 2 balls but Walthamstow stood firm to prevent another early wicket. With a pitch that seemed to have more in it for the seamers Ronan Karuna (9-0-48-0), Matt Holland (4-0-23-1) and Paresh Kalley (9-0-42-2) provided with the ball bowling tight lines. Sifth Ali's second spell saw a repeat of 2 wickets in 2 balls (8-0-48-4) as Walthamstow climbed up to what looked like a large total of 248-7.

In reply Dhruv Patel (39) and Sachin Vara (17) got Parks off to an electric start, parks at one stage sitting 51-0 off 4 overs until S. Vara was dismissed. Shortly after D. Patel who played brilliantly for his 39 attempted to pull one that just kept low clipping his pad on its way through to the stumps. In came Aman Ali at 71-2 where he provided a batting masterclass involving elegant batting and some powerful hitting as he and H. Markatis (67*) put on an 148 run partnership. Unfortunately, A. Ali fell 10 short of 3 figures as Parks lost one more wicket before knocking of the remaining runs.

Parks still need to work into their fielding as they let the intensity drop and the opposition to take control in the middle overs. Nevertheless, another strong win for Parks and a great all round team performance putting them top. Still a long way to go!!
