Oakfield Parkonians Sunday A won comfortably against Hackney Marsh in a friendly 40 over game played at Oakfield. Hackney Marsh won the bat and elected to bat first, were all out for 245 despite having a solid opening partnership of 112 runs at the drink break. Malik (52), Hari (85) and Toby with a cameo 23 at the end were the main contributors with the bat. Stand in captain Vijay Vijayanathan took 5 wickets for 43, Haaris Shah with 2 wickets and Paresh Kalley and Mathew Holland took a wicket apiece.
In reply, Oakfield Parkoinians lost only 4 wickets to reach the target with more than 3 overs to spare. Aman Ali opening the batting with Bhavik (12) played well to his 34 to give a good start for the chase, but Parks suffered 2 wickets in quick succession when the score was 92 after 19 overs. However Parks batsmen Sifth Ali (73 not out) and Paresh Kalley (83 not out) batted well to the end to secure a comfortable win by 6 wickets. Toby for Hackney Marsh took 3 wickets in his spell of 8 overs.
