Match report Parks fought hard to keep pace at the top of the table, but ultimately saturday was a very frustrating day for the 3rd XI. The game began with Parks losing a crucial toss and being put in, but this didn;t deter the openers Dan Shalom (30) or Faisal Chaudhary (54) who both put on runs in quick time against the opening bowlers.

Then came a flurry of 4 wickets falling at 92,93, 95 and 98 which slowed Parks progress to a crawl. A rebuidling phase ensued with Usman Rafiq (54) putting on 46 runs with Tarunpreet Bhatia (24) and 53 runs with Alan Bouquet (13) meant that parks could put together a good total of 227/9, declaring after 43 overs.

The second innings never really got going, with tight bowling and defensive batting from Buckhurst Hill ensuring that all could be gained was a draw and 9 points for Parks. The score finishing at 86/3 after 37 overs (including a rain break which lost 5 overs). Amar Thanki was the pick of the bowlers, with his 11 overs costing just 30 runs and claiming 2 wickets.
