Match report On another blustery day at HQ, with winds swirling around, the toss was going to be crucial. Unfortunatley the toss was lost and we were put in to bat.

Conditions were again tricky, with a slow outfield. We seemed to find it difficult to score with any fluency and struggled to get the scorebaord ticking along. This meant we had to bat beyond the 52 overs as we had not gained any points by the time they came up. A good partnership at the end between Kirandeep Bansal and Josh Gordon got us up to a respectable 156.

At tea we felt we could get the win with this total if we applied ourselves.

Pegasus batsmen went out there with intent and tried to get things moving. However, they also did not find things straight forward. It must be said the winds seemed to die down and conditions became a lot easier to bat.

Unfortunatley, we did not take all the chances given to us, which did not aid our cause. The highlight for Pegagsus was B Francis scoring a well constructed unbeaten 52. We showed some character to cling on and deny them the win to gain a draw. Pegagsus certainly played the beter cricket and had the better of the match but we did well on a day we did not perform, to at least make things difficult for them and deny them the win.

We are still in contention in a long season. Thus next week we are at home again and hope to put in a better performance to keep our promotion momentum going.
