Match report On a scorching hot day, after winning the toss, the visiting Upminster captain invited the home team to bat first. Unusually the green home pitch offered pace and bounce and Parks found scoring tricky early on. Openers Amar Patel (28) and Yash Patel (21) batted with patience against a good bowling unit but the run rate was around 3 runs per over until the 20th over mark. Fazan Habib (40) and Nikhil Mukherjee (16) batted well but Parks could only score 173 – 9 after the allocated 45 overs.

Parks knew they were 40 runs short on the home ground known for high scoring games and went with an attacking mindset to grab early wickets. Upminster started their innings slowly but both openers kept the scoreboard ticking. With no wickets in side for the first 17 overs Parks skipper turned to Aryan Desai (7-0-1-32) who made the initial break-through followed by Nikhil Mukherjee (9-1-2-32) who bowled tight lines for his two wickets. The other notable bowling came from Yash Patel (6-0-2-26). Two exceptional catches were taken by returning Aman Patel on his first match of the season who also took a wicket with his pace bowling. However, in the end Upminster reached the target with 3 overs to spare and won the game by 4 wickets. Another disappointing results for Parks at their home ground. Parks need to turn around their fortunes soon to avoid falling into the relegation zone.
